Plaintiff's Allegations - Rios and De Los Angeles v City Center Parking (En español haga clic aquí)

On July 27, 2017, our firm filed a proposed class-action lawsuit in Los Angeles County, case no. BC 670147, against City Center Parking, on behalf of all individuals who worked as or had the title of Parking Lot Attendants for that company in California since July 27, 2013. A copy of the complaint is attached here.

In their lawsuit, Plaintiffs (the people who are suing) contend that City Center Parking did not comply with the requirements under California law for payment of wages. If successful, a class action allows former and current employees to receive back wages that are owed to them.

If you worked there, maybe you weren’t paid for all the time you worked.  Or maybe you weren’t paid an hour’s pay if you couldn’t take a half-hour meal break, after you worked five hours in a day.  If so, you’re owed one hour’s pay for each day you were forced to miss such a meal break.

Or maybe you could never leave the parking lot to go to the bathroom or take a rest break, and so are entitled to an hour’s pay for each day that happened.

The court has not yet ruled on any of Plaintiff's allegations or determined whether the case is appropriate for class action status.

If you are now or at any time since July, 2013, working for City Center Parking, we would like to speak with you.

We’ve been told such employees never got pay stubs.  And that they simply took their pay out of the take of the day.  And that they had to pay for any losses in terms of parking receipts.  We know you might not have many documents relating to your employment, but if you have anything, we’d like to see it.

Perhaps you have schedules, receipts, timesheets, lists, earnings statements or other documents you received from City Center Parking which you think would help our case.

Maybe you took pictures of the lists you turned in to City Center.

Maybe you still have texts from people who worked at or who owned City Center Parking telling you what to do or where to go.  If so, it would really help if you'd let us see and copy such texts.

Maybe you have pictures of where you worked, or your bosses.  Anything that has anything to do with your working for City Center, we’d like to see it.

Please call us as soon as you can at 818-547-5200.

You may also email us at tom@falveylaw.com.

Every once in a while, people send mail to us, enclosing items they think might be helpful, with no return address, so that their identity can be kept secret.  Maybe you’d want to do that.

Help us out.  Help your friends out.

Ayudenos. Ayude sus amigos.

Muchas gracias.
